Common ENGO position paper entitled "What environment for the environment?" has been endorsed by 50 organizations. The statement will be presented to the programming authorities.
The position paper is outcome of the workshop for NGOs on draft OP Infrastructure and Environment organised in Warsaw on 11-12.04.06 by Polish Green Network.
The workshop was carried out by Institute for Sustainable Development. Support was given by Institute of Environmental Economics and WWF Poland.
Over 30 representatives of ENGOs and science discussed 9 priorities identified in draft OP.
The results of this duscussion became basis for the position paper prepared by Institute for Sustainable Development and Polish Green Network, supported by other members of the Coalition of Polish Environmental NGOs on EU Funds.
The statement of nearly 60 pages focuses on the priorities in the programme: water management, waste management and earth surface protection, environmental safety, nature protection, transport infrastructure, energy infrastructure. Separate chapters are dedicated to the financing system and implementation system.
The position paper will be presented to the ministries and the government during official consultation of the OP. The general part will be translated into English and distributed within the European Commission and the European Parliament.
