In current programming period Steering Committees are responsible for approving operations under SF in Poland. This good example of wide public participation will not be followed in new programming period
A new Law on rules of managing development policies has just been approved by Polish Parliament. According to this Law there will be only Monioring Committees - responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the operations, including civil society representatives. The projects to be co-financed by the EU will be approved by the Managing Authorities.
Public participation rule will be thus weakened in the next programming period in Poland.
